The LED 350 OSDL solves a number of problems users of point source sector lights have been forced to accept for the last 100 years. It can be operated outdoors (no need for a lantern house). It has an even luminous intensity in all sectors (no drop in coloured sectors). Sector modifications are made easy, no coloured filters needed (and hence, no maintenance of sector filters). No lamp replacement.
This patented optical solution offers a totally new efficient way of operating the sector lights.
The light source is formed of dual high power LED’s for each colour with a new optical lens. The
luminous intensity of each LED is continuously monitored with automatic shutdown of all colours in case of failure. The current of each LED is controlled individually with high accuracy by a built-in adjustable controller. All LED’s used are classified according to luminous intensity and colour chromaticity (within IALA preferred colour zones).
